Case Count Creeping Up To 60

Another person has lost their life in the Thunder Bay district to COVID-19.

Health officials report the 62nd death since the start of the pandemic to go along with eleven new cases Thursday and three more cases deemed as resolved.

The number of active cases within the Thunder Bay District Health Unit is at 59:

  • Nine cases obtained through close contact
  • One case obtained through travel outside of Northwestern Ontario
  • One case cause is pending

The Northwestern Health Unit reports 59 active cases of coronavirus with 12 new cases confirmed.

In Ontario there are 3,682 new cases along with 40 deaths.
