Candidates Fail To Submit Financials

At least eight candidates from last year’s municipal election will not be able to run or be appointed to any city office until after the 2022 civic vote.

That’s because they did not provide city hall with their election expenses by April 30th as required by law.

The eight include three mayoral candidates, Jim Gamble, Wolfgang Schoor, and Ron Chookomolin.

There are four councillors candidates named; Derek Lankinen, Jim Stadey, Charmaine McCraw and Richard Gunn.

There was one Catholic School Board trustee hopeful on the list, Robert DeGagne.

All of them must also forfeit the fee they paid to enter the race.
