Canadians Dissatisfied With Government Pandemic Response

Canadians are expressing their displeasure when it comes to how the federal and provincial governments have handled the COVID-19 pandemic.

Narrative Research polled over 1200 Canadians in April asking them to rate their level of satisfaction.

They were also asked the same question two years ago in September 2020.

Ontarians saw a dip in federal satisfaction going from 73 per cent in 2020 to just 57 per cent.

In Atlantic Canada, just a small decrease from 74 to 70 per cent.

Provincially, Ontario residents showed their unhappiness, with a 34 point decline in satisfaction.

The rating was 78 per cent two years ago, but now sits at just 44 per cent.

Across Atlantic Canada, satisfaction fell by just 12 per cent when rating their provincial government’s response.
