Canada’s red and white maple leaf flag turns 50 years old today.
Kingsway public school students celebrated the creation of the Canadian flag on Friday in advance of it’s real Birthday today.
Teacher Joanne Henry says she was alive for when the flag was created and it’s special to her.
Grade 6 student Raegan Lees says people should celebrate the flag because they should be grateful for the Country that they live in.
