Camp Quality Summer Camp Will Be Virtual

The deadline is approaching for this month’s Camp Quality 50/50 raffle.

The organization decided to hold the raffle as a way to recover lost costs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Camp Director Sam Stovel, when discussing 2021 camp plans: “We are planning to do another virtual summer camp with hopeful some in-person camp days, depending on public health restrictions, in a way to get families together while maintaining social distance.”

The camp gives children living with cancer a chance to enjoy summer camps and year-round family support programs.

The Northwestern chapter of Camp Quality was started in 2002.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
