Boys & Girls Club Provide Learning Alternative

The Boys and Girls Club is set to lend a helping hand for the continuation of virtual learning next week.

Executive Director Albert Aiello says work has been going on all week with the hope that they can host 30 kids to do their school work outside of the home.

Aiello adds that includes working alongside Tbaytel: “We are getting a dedicated internet line set up just for this venture. All the kids will be logging on and using a lot of bandwidth so we just want to make sure that nobody gets kicked off while they are learning.”

The Director adds the facility continues to have all the proper measures for social distancing in place, which includes all hardwired computers spaced out by at least six feet.

“It’s a break for the kids, it’s a break for the parents. It’s a change of scenery for the children as well and they will have a chance for some socialization with other kids,” Aiello stressed.

The Executive Director knows that most kids were provided with their own laptops for learning, but if not the computer lab will be available to them.
