The Thunder Bay Bombardier plant will be coming back to life starting on Monday.
Union spokesperson Dominic Pasqualino tells us about 450 workers will be returning from time off to build train cars and ventilators.
Workers were placed on furlough because of pandemic precautions.
The Unifor official explains a number of safety procedures will be in place to help stop possible spread of the coronavirus.
“I know there are concerns out there but we’re working on those concerns and I think there are a lot of people eager to get back and start earning some money,” notes Pasqualino.
Those safety protocols will include physical distancing throughout the plant along with numerous hand washing stations.
Pasqualino notes, the cafeteria will also not be accepting cash.
