The Toronto Blue Jays have been firmly in 1st place in the A.L East division since early July. Now, along comes the New York Yankees….they’re closing in on that 1st place spot.

Tuesday night’s game at the Rogers Centre was once again sold out. (Jays lost to Boston). Yes, the Blue Jays have clinched a playoff spot…but…what they really want is to clinch the American League EAST Division! They have the rest of this week to do that.

NOW, the other highlight of the amazing BLUE JAYS season is: HOT DOGS! Anytime the Jays have a home game at the Rogers Centre on a Tuesday night…it falls under what’s called “Loonie Dog Night”. Imagine that – $1 hot dogs. Buy as many as you want! It’s been a record breaking season for hot dog sales at the Rogers Centre. Last night, they broke a franchise record with a season total of just over 800,000 hot dogs sold on Tuesday nights.

Tuesday night alone, set a record of 92,896 hot dogs sold. Think about it – that’s at least 2 hot dogs per fan! Some were seen with 20 hot dogs on one plate. TWENTY?

With the Major League Baseball regular season ending this weekend….let’s hope there’ll be another Loonie Dog Night during THE PLAYOFFS.

GO JAYS!
