Mackenzie Blackwood will be celebrating the holidays with a new contract.

The Thunder Bay netminder signs a three year deal with the New Jersey Devils worth $8.4 million US.

The 2015 second round pick appeared in 47 games last season, compiling a record of 22-14-8 to go along with a 2.77 goals against average and a .916 save percentage.
