A Canadian TV broadcaster is claiming public opinion is on its side when it comes to keeping Super Bowl ads from being shown on Canadian stations.
The information comes as reports indicate that Bell Media is appealing a CRTC ruling the American ads must be shown on Canadian TV starting in 2017.
A new Nanos survey for Bell suggests that Canadians, by a margin of more than three to one, would rather support Canadian broadcasters who have paid for the broadcast rights for the Super Bowl over the ability to watch U.S. commercials during the big game.
