Beardy Supports Saving Some Documents

Ontario’s Regional Chief is supporting a decision by the Ontario Superior Court to allow residential school survivors the choice of keep some of their records of testimony available for future generations.
A decision last week says survivors could spare some of their documents from destruction and would be redacted to protect the privacy of others.
Beardy feels it’s vital to preserve the testimonies for future generations so we don’t forget this dreadful chapter of our country’s history.
