Ongoing construction on Balmoral Street near the Harbour Expressway is ahead of schedule.
City spokesperson Mike Vogrig said thankfully due to COVID-19 many businesses were on board with a full closure of the road.
“Area businesses have supported us in closing it down and getting it done as soon as possible. The contractor has been able to accelerate the schedule quite significantly from what we first imagined it would be,” Vogrig said.
The city spokesperson says they are about a month to almost two months ahead of schedule.
The multi-million dollar project was originally scheduled to be complete in October.
