Awareness Breakfast To Discuss Pronouns

Thunder Pride Association is hosting an Awareness Breakfast June 10th.

Organizer Jessy Bogacki tells us much focus will be on the use of pronouns.

“Usage of “they”, “them”, and other non-binary pronouns, it just makes spaces more inclusive.”

The Director at Large of the Board of Directors adds many community members will be at the Prince Arthur hotel that morning.

They add speakers will address issues faced by those who don’t use “he” or “she” for themselves.

“It can be really hard for those people to feel respected, when people aren’t using the pronouns they identify with.”

Organizers plan on opening the doors at 7am.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
