Aubut Vying For Thunder Bay-Rainy River Seat

There are five challengers on the ballot for election day in Thunder Bay-Rainy River, including Alan Aubut.

Aubut, who has an education as an exploration geologist, chose to run for the People’s Party of Canada because of what he calls a lack of consideration for taxpayers.

“It doesn’t matter really if it’s (the) provincial or federal (government) they’re showing no respect to us the citizens,” said Aubut. “All of these mandates that are being thrusted upon us, there’s no data to support them and they are infringing on our freedom.”

With less than 30 days to go until Election Day, Aubut told Acadia News that his message is simple: getting our freedom back and fighting both Bills C-10 and C-36

“The bills are closely related,” noted Aubut. “They’re trying to let the government decide what’s misinformation and what’s hate. You can’t do that, free speech has to be exactly that.”

Voters head to the polls on Monday, September 20th.
