Quite a few Thunder Bay area groups and individuals are getting cash from the Ontario Arts Council.
Almost 600-thousand dollars will be divided between 56 professional artists and art organizations in the region.
Some of the recipients include the Bay Street Film Festival, an indigenous film festival, Magnus theatre and New Music North.
