Arrest Made In Teen’s Murder

A teenaged girl has been charged with first degree murder in the homicide of 14-year old Kayliegh Ivall.

Thunder Bay police say they made the arrest yesterday afternoon, with the accused making an appearance in bail court this morning. She remains in custody with a future court appearance scheduled for Thursday.

Kayliegh’s body was found the afternoon of Monday, April 27th in the area of Arundel Street near Lyon Boulevard. She was last seen the night before around Claude Garton school.

An autopsy has been done in Toronto, the details of which have not been released by police.

Federal law prohibits us from giving you the identity of the 14-year old accused person.

The investigation remains ongoing.
