Arrest After Stabbing

Thunder Bay Police Service Officers were sent to Windsor Street Thursday night after reports of an assault.

They learned that a man was being taken to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Center by paramedics with what police are calling injuries consistent with a stabbing.

A further investigation lead to an identification of a female suspect.

The victim and the accused were in the same residence that evening, when an argument escalated and became physical. This was the point when the accused assaulted the man with a weapon.

The female was also taken to hospital with injuries where she attempted to escape from police, though was back into custody after a brief struggle. The accused was then treated for her injuries and taken to police headquarters.

Brianna Lynn Netemegisic, 22, of Thunder Bay, is charged with:• Aggravated Assault• Escape Lawful Custody• Fail to Comply with Undertaking• Breach of ProbationShe appeared in bail court and was released with a future court date.
