Applying For Emergency Child Care In Thunder Bay

Opening the portal for essential workers to get emergency child care.

Applications will be accepted starting at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 5th through the District of Thunder Bay Social Services Administration Board (TBDSSAB).

Ontario unveiled Emergency Child Care for school-aged children would be available to families of essential workers with no other child care options.

TBDSSAB will contact eligible families to confirm eligibility, and to notify families when a space becomes available.

Pending approval, Emergency Child Care may be available as early as January 10, 2022.
