Council is set to hear an update on the ongoing Boulevard Lake work.
The last one came in November as part of a virtual town hall meeting held by Current River Ward councillor Andrew Foulds.

Foulds says there are two positives, and they have to do with clean-up and water quality.
“Some of the driftwood has been cleaned up. I think that’s going to make the beaches a little safer. I also believe that [the city] is a lot more conscientious of the ecosystem that exists there,” says Andrew Foulds. “”The reputation of Boulevard Lake has changed over the years, and I’m glad that the evidence suggest that the water is good and that it’s safe for swimming”
On the flip side, the Current River Wards councillor believes there’s been no regular maintenance and the dredging in the lake has been along time coming.
The councillor notes as with anything in life, the longer you leave a problem the more expensive it could get to fix it.
The report will be presented to council for information purposes.
