Alzheimer Society Coffee Break Fundraiser Returns

A major fundraiser for the local chapter of the Alzheimer Society is back for another fall.

Spokesperson Jaclyn Woods tells us they hope to raise $15,000 from this year’s Coffee Break events.

Coffee breaks see people enjoy tea and coffee, donate money to the society and learn more about the disease.

“These can be a backyard barbeque, a point-of-sale at their tills, it could be even a book club where you raise funds from your coworkers, family and friends.”

Coffee breaks are being held throughout September and October and Woods suggests you contact her if you would like to hold one yourself.

She adds money raised through Coffee Break events stays local.

You can find out how you can host a coffee break by popping by the Alzheimer Society office at 180 Park Avenue.
