Active Case Count Near 50

The active case count in the Thunder Bay District Health Unit continues to soar.

Twelve more confirmed Thursday with ten obtained from someone else who had the virus.

It’s not yet know how many of the 49 active cases are linked to the schools.

The Lakehead Public School Board has a single case at Ecole Elsie MacGill Public School while there are 23 active cases in the Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board.

In Ontario, 748 new cases with 375 coming from those who are not fully vaccinated and 44 cases are in individuals with an unknown vaccination status.
