Accused in sudden death investigation now facing murder charge

A murder charge has been laid in connection to a sudden death that occurred in December.

Officers found a body in the Finlayson Street area on December 14.

An investigation of the situation resulted in a 24-year-old man being arrested on December 17 and charged with indignity to a human body.

Further investigation has led to the additional charge of second-degree murder.

The accused remains in custody with future court dates.
