A simple conversation – makes all the difference.

We talk a lot about kindness on Tell Me Something Good… and this story out of Kansas City is a perfect reminder of why it matters.

There’s a well‑known spot there called Kelly’s Westport Inn. Last week, a bartender named Heath was serving a woman who was going through a really tough time. Nothing dramatic—he just listened, talked with her, and showed a little compassion.

When she left, Heath flipped over her bill… and found a handwritten note that said, “Your kindness saved my life tonight. Thank you.”

The owner shared the story online, and thousands of people have been sending love and support to this woman—proof that even the smallest act of kindness can land exactly when someone needs it most.

A simple conversation… a little warmth… and it made all the difference on someone’s darkest day.

That’s something good.
