Imagine this: what if you’d been living next to your family for years but had no idea? That’s what happened to Southern California residents KTEL and ZOE, and neighbours Erik and Jen Strom. ERIK and KTEL found out they’re actually related after chatting it up during a neighbourhood get-together. They were both talking about their Norwegian heritage and joked “wouldn’t it be funny if we were related”?
So, Ktel texted his mother in Norway, then called her. She took out some documents they had on their family tree. And turns out Erik and Ktel are 3rd cousins!
What’s next for the neighbouring cousins? They keep in touch as they’re literally down the street from each other. They’ve had a couple of dinners together and hope they can plan a trip back home to Norway and have a long awaited FAMILY REUNION.
