Oliver Road has been closed for storm sewer replacement work from Dalton Avenue to Enniskillen Avenue.
The closure is expected to last for about six weeks while construction takes place.
The Oliver Road Community Centre at Enniskillen will still be accessible.
The City says sidewalks will be closed as well, and during the construction period traffic will be rerouted via Balmoral Street, John Street, and Ray Boulevard.
Work on storm sewers is meant to reduce the risk of flooding.
