What’s your contribution to society?

A little sunshine from the internet today. A thread on X— and it asked people, “What’s YOUR contribution to society?” And for once, the comments section didn’t burst into flames. Instead, people shared these tiny, wholesome acts that quietly keep the world spinning:

One person said they always return the shopping cart.

Another said they look away when someone opens their banking app—a true hero.

Someone else proudly pretends not to notice public embarrassment, which honestly should earn community service hours.

People said they carry their trash until they find a bin.

One person even steps off the sidewalk to give families and dogs more room.

And my favourite: someone who lives on the 5th floor of a condo says – they rundown multiple flights of stairs to meet delivery drivers so they don’t have to go up. That’s Olympic‑level kindness.

So think about it—what’s your everyday contribution to society?
