Sometimes the brightest moments come from the simplest gestures — how about a shopping cart overflowing with possibility.
This story comes from the Thunder Centre Canadian Tire, the team loaded up a full cart of educational toys, games, puzzles, and sensory materials that are going to the Life Skills classroom at Bishop E.Q. Jennings.
These hands-on tools will help students with Autism and others, build confidence through play — strengthening communication, fine motor skills, emotional regulation, social interaction, and independence. It’s learning, but it’s also fun.
A big shout‑out goes to Frank Quaresima and the incredible staff at E.Q. Jennings for the work they do every single day. And of course, to the folks at the Thunder Centre Canadian Tire, thank you for stepping up for local kids.

Moments like this remind us what Thunder Bay does best: showing up for each other.
That’s what community is all about.
