It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our Dad, and Grandpa, Charles Henderson. Charlie passed away in the early morning of Sunday, April 19, 2026 at the age of 96. Charlie was born in New Cumnock, Scotland on June 23, 1929. He moved to Thunder Bay in 1965 with his wife May and son Jim.

Charlie was a loyal member of the Masonic Lodge for over 70 years, where he held numerous positions. These positions took him on many travels from coast to coast.

His true pride and joy were his grandchildren Amanda and Michael. They brought him much love, joy and laughter. Charlie enjoyed meeting his friends Rick and Allan for Saturday morning coffee and visits with his new friends Mike and Sharon. Many happy memories and fun was had on holidays when the Henderson’s, Grillo’s and Filipovic’s came together as one big family. We will miss Charlie, his sense of humour and silly antics.

Charlie was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his son Jim, daughter-in-law Toni and grandchildren Amanda and Michael (Shannon).

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the staff at Southbridge Roseview for the care and kindness provided and shown to Charlie and to us – his family.
