After weeks of teasing us with “almost warm” days, Thunder Bay is finally stepping into some real spring temperatures. You can feel it the moment you step outside — that softer air, the brighter sun, the sidewalks drying up, and the collective mood of the city lifting just a little. It’s that time of year when the jackets get lighter, the days get longer, and the whole place starts to feel alive again.
And with that comes the big question every year: when does spring cleaning officially start for you?
For some, it’s the first day the snow shovel gets shoved to the back of the garage. For others, it’s when the sun hits the living room window just right and suddenly every dust particle in Thunder Bay becomes visible. Spring cleaning is a ritual — part tradition, part therapy, part “how did I accumulate this much stuff?”

For me, the mission is clear: the garage. Top to bottom. Every shelf, every box, every forgotten corner that’s been quietly collecting “I’ll deal with that later” items for years. It might take all spring… maybe even a chunk of summer… but I can’t wait.
Bring on the warm weather, bring on the motivation, and bring on the great Thunder Bay cleanout of 2026. Spring is here — let’s go!
