Kindness 911

You know we love stories about kindness here on Tell Me Something Good… and this one might just make your whole day.

Down south, there’s a national nonprofit called Kindness 911, and they’ve put a refreshing twist on policing. Instead of writing citations for speeding or infractions… officers are writing “Kindness Citations.”

Here’s how it works: if an officer spots someone doing something good—helping a stranger, lifting someone’s spirits, going out of their way to brighten a moment—they issue a special citation celebrating – THAT. Then the story gets shared on social media, and Kindness 911 donates to a charity in that person’s honour.

At a time when the headlines can feel heavy, this is such a great reminder that goodness is happening all around us. Sometimes all it takes is noticing it… and celebrating it.

And that is something good.
