Margaret (Marg) Kiiskila passed away quietly on Sunday, April 12, 2026 with family by her side. She has gone to join her husband and soulmate, Oliver, of 24 years, who predeceased her last year. Margaret was born on February 15, 1945 in Port Arthur, Ontario to Lena and Michael Griff who also predecease her. Margaret leaves behind much loved children, a son, Robert Hanson (Mel) and grandson, Drew of Australia, a daughter, Jolene Hanson and grandchildren, Alyssia and Wynter of Barrie, Ontario, and a step-son, Mike Kiiskila (Jen) and grandchildren, Olivia, Luca, Mia and Brynley of Medicine Hat, British Columbia. Marg worked much of her life taking care of others, first as a hairdresser then a healthcare worker, and finally an associate at Canadian Tire. Family was very important to Margaret. She was extremely close to her sisters Sharon and Kathy and her brother John who survive her. Her bubbly personality and avid interest in those around her drew people to her. Cremation has taken place. Margaret will be laid to rest beside her beloved Oliver. She has expressed a wish that no Memorial service be held and her family is honouring that request.
