Members of the Nipigon and Schreiber detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) took on a traffic enforcement initiative on Saturday.
In Nipigon, officers laid 62 charges and 11 warnings against drivers over a 12-hour period.
The enforcement initiative focused on speeding violations and commercial vehicle regulations.
It comes as fatalities on northern highways are repeatedly entering the public spotlight.
