His entire world changed with one gift.

A 61‑year‑old dad in South Carolina just had his whole world change with one gift. His name is Jim Gogan, and he’s been colourblind his entire life — especially reds and greens. It even kept him from becoming a pilot in the Air Force because he couldn’t read radar screens.

A few weeks ago, his son Kyle finally saved up enough from a work bonus to buy him those special colour‑correcting glasses the family had talked about for years. Before giving them to him, Kyle printed out one of those colour-blind tests… and Jim got almost every answer wrong.

Then came the moment. Jim put on the glasses, looked down at a picture of a Christmas tree… and immediately burst into tears. He took the test again — this time, he nailed every single answer. And the colour that hit him the hardest was red. He kept saying how beautiful the red bricks on houses were.

The next day, the family took him for a drive so he could see the world in full colour for the first time — the green trees, the blue sky. Now he wears the glasses all the time… and says he can’t wait to go golfing, so he can finally “see the green” the way everyone else does.
