Thunder Bay man charged in drug trafficking investigation

A 44-year old from Thunder Bay is facing trafficking charges for cocaine and opiates following a Thunder Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigation.

The Thunder Bay OPP’s Community Street Crime Unit carried out a search warrant on January 14 at a local residence, seizing $20,000 in suspected cocaine, oxycodone pills, cell phones, and cash.

The accused man faces charges not just for possessing Schedule 1 substances and property obtained by crime, but also for a failure to comply with release orders.

He remains in police custody and awaits an appearance before the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay.
