Holiday Train raises $2 million

It was a good year for the CPKC Holiday Train.

The train went across parts of Canada and the United States at the end of November and the beginnning of December.

Overall, the Holiday Train raised more than $2 million for local charities.

In addition, more than 175,000 pounds of non-perishable food items were collected for food banks.

CPKC says since 1999, the Holiday Train has raised more than $28.3 million and 5.6 million pounds of food items over the last 26 years.
