Two arrested in drug bust on Cumberland St.

The Thunder Bay Police Service (TBPS) arrested two men on Tuesday after responding to a call at an apartment in the 100 block of Cumberland Street.

Members of the police’s Community Outreach and Engagement Team and the new Housing Safety Unit discovered a large haul of fentanyl, heroin, and possibly cocaine, as well as cash and loaded firearms.

The accused are facing a series of charges, including possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of unauthorized firearms, and several similar criminal violations.

One is also accused of obstructing the police.

The two men appeared in court on Wednesday.

They have been remanded into custody with future court appearances coming down the line.
