Investigation leads to drug trafficking charges

Two Nipigon men are facing drug trafficking charges following an investigation.

The two 24-year-olds were arrested Monday by members of the Nipigon detachment.

An investigation was launched in July regarding suspected drug trafficking in the area.

Both men are facing a charge under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act of trafficking cocaine.

One of the men is facing an additional charge of trafficking fentanyl.

Both were held for a bail hearing and remain in custody.
