Residents invited to give feedback on Thunder Bay budget

Thunder Bay residents have a chance to weigh-in on the City’s capital budget for next year.

The first time the City of Thunder Bay has presented a two-year budget (through 2027), the public is invited to share their feedback on the proposed plan.

Key initiatives in this year’s budget include more than $34 million in road improvements next year with another $26 million in 2027.

Other areas of interest include continued work on organics and auto cart programs to support waste diversion and improve collection services as well as funding to advance the transition to a lower-emission transit fleet.

Feedback will help the City continue improving the budget process and will ensure it aligns with community priorities.

The survey is open until November 25 and residents can also submit questions or comments directly by emailing: your.budget@thunderbay.ca.

Residents can review the proposed capital budget and provide input through the public survey available here.

Hard-copy surveys are also available at Thunder Bay Public Library locations and in the lobby of City Hall.
