City now collecting old garbage cans

The City of Thunder Bay is collecting old garbage cans from residents who have received the new bins, representing approximately one quarter of the city.

Those who do not wish to keep their old cans must take them to the city’s designated drop-off location by October 11.

The drop-off is at the landfill site at 5405 Mapleward Road, in the Administration Building parking lot.

The city asks that garbage cans be emptied before they are dropped off.
