From New York City….this story started 5 years ago during the height of the Covid pandemic.

12 year old Asher Rosenfield, started a program called “Audibles with Asher”. It was weekly reading sessions over Zoom for children and young adults with special needs. He wanted to give them a routine. Something to look forward to during COVID. Fast forward to 2025 – the bonds between Asher and those kids and young adults are stronger than ever.
Asher, now 17 years old, is still seeing those kids and young adults every week. They’re reading books together via ZOOM. AND, because it’s online, it’s easy for them no matter their physical or medical condition, to join from their home.
The parents of the special needs kids say that this has been a lifeline for them. Asher says, above everything – he simply wants to teach “empathy, consistency and connection”.
More proof: there are so many “good people” in this world.
