Mr. John Richard Appel, age 82 years, resident of Pass Lake, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Friday, September 5, 2025. Born on July 16, 1943, John enjoyed helping others, he was known as Johnny on the Spot and ran a small business out of his van called Mobile Motocross Parts. He worked as a backyard mechanic and was a member of Retreads Motorcycle Club and Ride for Site. John is survived by his children; Shawn Appel (Barb), Corrina Appel-Duggan (Rod) and Terry Boyer (Sandy), Grandchildren; Brandon and Jamie-Lyn Duggan, Jesse Appel and Alisa Ingram. Also Great-grandchildren, one sibling, many nieces and nephews and Special Friends; Ed Kinner and Shaun O-Neill. Predeceased by his parents; John and Mildred Appel and many siblings. Cremation has taken place.
