A section of Highway 11/17 has started to reopen just west of the Harbour Expressway following a vehicle fire.
The Ministry of Transportation announced the eastbound lanes on the roadway were reopened around 10:30 a.m.
The closure was first reported around 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
According to the provincial police, the roadway was closed between Twin City Crossroad and the Harbour Expressway as of 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
The provincial police are asking residents to avoid the area.
Traffic delays should be expected in the area.
