Looking for everyday HEROES!

The CITY OF THUNDER BAY is looking for “everyday heroes”.  This is a chance to celebrate individuals and groups who make our city stronger, kinder and more connected!  This is your chance to nominate them for the “2025 Respect and Safety Awards”.

Award categories include:
…everyday acts of respect and kindness
…inclusion, accessibility and equity
…youth and senior change makers
…environment work
…and a community safety innovator award

You can nominate someone today.  Check out the city’s website link for all the info. Deadline to nominate is August 29.

  • Danny Foresta was born and raised in Thunder Bay. He's worked in radio for over 30 years. Has spent the last 20 years in Morning Radio. Joined Acadia Broadcasting in 2021.  He hosts "Mornings In The Bay" on 99.9 The Bay.
    He enjoys all aspects of the radio industry. Danny is married to Lori, and has a son, Joseph in University.
