Heat warning from Thunder Bay area to Atikokan

Hot and humid weather is expected to continue across parts of northwestern Ontario for the next couple of days.

A heat warning has been issued from the Thunder Bay area west to the Atikokan area, including Shebandowan, Quetico Park and Upsala.

Environment Canada said daytime highs approaching 30°C will feel more like the mid-30s with the humidity.

A cooler air mass is expected to bring an end to the heat event for most areas on Friday evening.

However, the hot and humid weather is expected to last into Saturday for areas to the north of Thunder Bay.
