Drug bust leads to charges in Thunder Bay

A call to 911 on Thunder Bay’s south side has led to charges.

Officers were sent to a home on Lincoln Street on Wednesday in response.

Someone was located inside the home who was not a resident, and they were arrested.

Further investigation revealed that the suspect was under a court order prohibiting them from being at that address.

A search of the home led to the seizure of suspected cocaine and fentanyl, as well as cash, a knife, and paraphernalia associated with drug trafficking.

As a result, a 29-year-old is facing the following charges:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl)
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Failure to comply with a probation order
  • Failure to comply with a release order

The accused appeared in court on Thursday, and they remain in custody with a future court date.
