Man charged with 2nd-degree murder in Shuniah

One person has been charged in a homicide investigation in Shuniah.

Thunder Bay OPP were called to a home on Blind Creek Drive shortly after 10:50 p.m. Monday.

A 54-year-old woman was found dead at the scene. She has been identified as Shelley Marconi of Shuniah.

Police said one person was taken into custody at the scene.

A 26-year-old man from Shuniah has since been charged with second-degree murder.

He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear before a judge on Friday.
