North Water Street Transit Terminal set to close for improvements

The Thunder Bay Waterfront Transit Terminal is set to temporarily operate out of a different location to allow for improvement work.

Upgrades at the terminal are getting underway on Monday.

A temporary terminal is being set up on Cumberland Street North between Van Norman Street and Camelot Street.

That section of roadway will be closed to regular traffic while the temporary terminal is active.

The temporary location will have shelters and benches, along with signage indicating where to catch each route.

The construction is expected to be complete in November.

Once complete, the upgraded terminal will offer improved safety, better accessibility, and greater convenience for both passengers and transit operators.
