Shoplifter arrested after stealing from local business 30 times

A Thunder Bay resident is facing dozens of charges after allegedly stealing from a local business 30 times this year.

Officers were sent to the business on Main Street on Monday afternoon following another theft, but the suspect had already left.

Officers were able to locate and arrest the suspect thanks to a witness description a short time later.

The suspect is believed to have been involved in a series of thefts from the business dating back to January.

As a result, a 33-year-old from Thunder Bay is facing 30 theft under $5,000 charges.

No information was provided on whether the accused was released from custody or not.
