Canadians Want Shorter Work Week: Angus Reid

It’s a stat holiday for most today, however, a majority of Canadians want to shorten the standard work week, according to a poll from Angus Reid for CTV News.

According to the poll, over half of Canadians surveyed are in favour of a four-day work week and are willing to work 10-hour days to make that happen.

Almost the same percentage are in favour of a 30-hour work week, which has been adopted in France and the Netherlands.

People in favour of shorter work weeks argue that it would boost employee morale and decrease sick days.
