Charities Partnering Again With Staal Foundation Open

This year’s edition of the Staal Foundation Open golf tournament will once again be raising funds for a children’s cancer charity.

Ashleigh Quarrell of Camp Quality explains the tournament has become an essential part of the group’s fundraising efforts, and to see the event become more successful each year “is absolutely incredible.”

The George Jeffrey Children’s Centre is benefiting from the tournament for the first time.

The centre’s Chief Executive Officer Tom Walters says they partner with another children’s charity, the Smilezone Foundation, which helps to create kid-friendly areas at the centre.

The Health Sciences Foundation is back as beneficiary the tournament, as well.

It’s happening from July 9 to July 15 at the Whitewater Golf Club.
